WOW! Now I have cruised many cruise lines (Oasis of the Seas on maiden voyage) including Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean, etc..... The Getaway is awesome. Best ship in many ways. Nothing special about the ports of call as St Martin, St Thomas and Nassau were hardly the reason I rate this ship as the BEST. The workmanship is tremendous. Dark woods throughout add that very classy look. Superb architecture and activities. Ship also has singles cabins (my daughter had one) with its own gathering area for drinks and snacks. Virtually everything you want to do is on decks 6, 7, & 8. Top decks have pool's (adult only pool was packed) and their big buffet area. Elegant dining areas and their Steak Restaurant (Cagney's) was excellent. The main dining area does have a casual dress code (no shorts allowed) but has a 3 piece band playing continuously. Food was very good no matter where we ate. The buffet on deck 15 had ample stations (virtually no waiting) and seating was not a problem (3 of us went on this cruise). Plenty of entertainment every night and their dueling piano bar was the hot place to be. They have a big party on deck 16 one night and the area for this party is superb. This ship even has fireworks one night.

Cabin Review

My cabin was spacious and larger than any balcony room I stayed in compared to the other cruise lines
