This was our 7th cruise with the last 4 being this very cruise through Carnival. I was SO disappointed. First, we could not get a dining time and were forced to take "Dining Your Time" The idea was that you could go to the dining room and be seat any time between 5:45 and 9. It should not take longer than 10 minutes to get a table. What a joke! 35 minutes one night and the next night the line was so long we just stopped trying. There are no more white table clothes on the tables and the waiter not only doesn't know your name, but he has no idea what you ordered because he has so many tables and no help. They seated us next to the serving station where someone knocked over an entire tray of dirty dishes which shattered allover the floor and us.Food took forever and was cool when we got it. We tried going to the dining room for breakfast and lunch and got the same service.Outside food areas were ok...food was mediocre at best. Most times not served at appropriate temps.
The ship is showing it's age...carpets dirty and fraying. Activities were low grade and did not include many people. Not much to do on "SEA DAY" except party and drink. That's ok if that is your scene, but there used to be other things too. The room steward tried hard but again...too much work for 1 guy. Carnival has really cut back on staffing except in the bars.Shows were once a night instead of twice. This is the last Carnival cruise we will take.
Cabin was ok. Roomy enough but needs refurbishing. Carpets stained. Beds ok.
