I would like to start by saying although this was our first cruise and we were fortunate enough to have feedback about what to expect and reading reviews on Trip Advisor were helpful I came into this cruise with an open mind. I work in the hospitality industry and I have learned to take reviews with a grain of salt. Never judge a book by it's cover because you could be missing out on an amazing story. Your cruise/vacation is what you make of it. Having said that here is my feedback on our experience aboard The Carnival Paradise.

This was a last minute booking as our previous plans unfortunately (or now fortunately) had to be canceled. We swore we would never go on a cruise as we felt they were overrated and being on a ship for a week just didn't seem appealing. We couldn't have been more wrong. We arrived at the airport unsure of what to expect and quickly found a Carnival representative waiting at the bottom of the stairs with a warm greeting and directed us to the young lady across the room for our transportation. unfortunately before we were able to get over to her she went outside. Unsure whether we should wait inside or not we waited just a few minutes before going outside. Again a Carnival Representative spotted us right away and walked us to the bus.

Upon arriving at the port we were given very clear direction as to what we needed to board the ship. I would say it took less than 10 minutes from the time we stepped foot off the bus to boarding the ship. It was a very quick and smooth process.
