My husband and I are a professional couple in our 40s. We brought our 11 year old son on this cruise. We have previously cruised with NCL,HA, Costa, Princess, Carnival, and RC. This was our third NCL cruise, including a particularly poor experience on Pride of America's maiden voyage. This is the first cruise where we upgraded to a suite.

Cabin: Never having a suite before, we weren't sure what to expect. The cabin was much larger, of course, but much of the space was consumed by the very large bathroom (separate shower, vanity, toilet closet, jacuzzi and double sink area). The balcony was very large but the furniture was cheap looking, uncomfortable and sparse. The cabin included a very nice home theatre system. We brought our own CDs and the line has DVDs for the suite guests. We received one bottle of champagne, a fruit basket, fresh flowers, and a daily delivery of snacks, from fruit to caviar.

The best thing for us about the "suite experience" was the ability to bypass long lines. I almost felt guilty passing the other guests with our VIP tender tickets, embarkation lounge, disembarkation tags, and chocolate buffet admission.
