ON-LINE DIRECTIONS TO PORT WERE EASY TO FOLLOW...NO SURPRISES, and check-in was much faster and easier than last October, when we sailed on Voyager...Luggage was quickly taken from us, and we had no hold-ups at all..Cabin was ready early, so we left carry-ons and went exploring, after a leisurely lunch at Windjammer..All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and the ship was beautifully clean. The evening shows were great, but I was surprised to have one night without a show available..last voyage had a show every night..Kenny James put on a fantastic performance, and the Ice Show was much better than the one on Voyager...the participants were better skaters, and the production was better, also. Our dinner table was way back in a corner of the dining room, and all six of us were not happy with the terrible table, but, our waiter and Head waiter were so accommodating, that we and our tablemates decided to stay there...We were treated royally throughout the cruise, and out tips to the waitstaff reflected this..Tan, Freddy, and the Head Waiter were so attentive and friendly that we truly enjoyed the dinner hours...Although, the meals were not as great as on Voyager and selections were less appealing..We booked all of our tours through RC, and were vert happy with them all...especially St. Martins and San Juan..the Tour guides were knowledgeable, polite, and competent, and the

tours were fun and beautiful..Especially the Butterfly Farm, something I would like to see again..The only problem was at the Bacardi Distillery...we arrived at 9:30 a.m., and the driver encouraged us to "take your free drinks before the tour, so we can leave immediately after"...It was too early for Rum, so almost all of us declined, and then only had time for one drink after the tour, as he wanted to get going to Old San Juan...I know that traffic might be a problem at a later time, but we were unable to relax and enjoy our drinks after the tour, as he did not allow drinks on the bus..Our day in Labadee was a very relaxing one, and the barbeque on the beach was great...they make the best spareribs !! we shopped and walked in the warm water, then just sat on the beach and watched the waves...Our sea days were great,,as I was able to go to scrapbooking classes that taught me new techniques, and Katie, the staff person who taught one, was someone I had met on Voyager last year, and, she actually remembered my name...What a nice thing !! Bingo was fun, but the scrapbooking classes were better...they gave us different packets to make "theme pages" for the ports visited...a very nice touch..It was hard to say goodbye, but our disembarking was really fantastic...Last year, on Voyager, no one could leave until all the non-citizens had checked out, and one person was missing, so we waited in the theater from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. Horrible!!! This time, immigration was done the previous morning, and we were abler to get off the ship by 10:15 a.m....But, getting the car anywhere near the luggage was a disaster..people parking all over the place, people trying to "save" parking spaces for those going to get cars...This was terrible, and held us up over 60 minutes...The baggage handlers were great, but, they could only do so much...There must be a better way..we would have brought the luggage to the car, but were not allowed to take it on the small bus, so I waited while my poor husband tried valiantly to get back to me and the luggage...This was the worst part of the vacation...I will definitely travel with RC again...probably to Canada in 2007..
