We had a good cruise, we left to go to the port around 11:00am from our friends who live close to Miami. It took around 20 min to get there. We have been to this port before and usually there is no problem you park and go in. But now they are doing construction on the Port and it was really hard to get to let us out and drop off our luggage. They have about 5 lanes of traffic down to two lanes including Taxis and Buses. It took about 15 minutes to get thru that mess.

We checked in around 12:15pm and there were no lines. Took our pre cruise photo that we never found and we were in our cabins about 12:30pm. Kids wanted to see their areas and the Royal Promenade...We bought our Soda cards adult 35.00...kids 22.00..we walked around a little and went up top had a couple drinks boy was it windy. Before you knew it it was the lovely Muster Drill...at least on Princess, you are comfortable in one of the lounges or show rooms w/air. Also on Princess you have those jackets on about 5 minutes. But not on Royal Caribbean...We stood in the sun w/these jackets on for about a total of 15-20 minutes if not longer. You could see stragglers finally coming. We had to stand there till everybody was present. Then they show you what to do and then let us go....

Went up on top deck to watch the boat pull away. When we were on Voyager a couple years ago, when we pulled away cars were stopping on the causeway people got out and were waving, hollering and honking their horns. Maybe Miami is use to the big ships now. Now there was a handful of people who waved. Not like before and again was very windy.
