Sail Date: Apr 2006

Sailed on the Serenade of the Seas on April 22, 2006 out of Puerto Rico. This was our seventh cruise and third on Royal Carib. As always, the service was impeccable.

HOWEVER, I do have two bits of information for those new to RC or to cruising. You no longer receive BEACH towels to take with you to the beach. You are given one pool towel per person. You are to use this towel for the beach or pool. You must return the towel to your room each day, or you will be charged $25 per towel (no more leaving it at the pool). You are NOT allowed more than one towel per person. My last cruise (2 years ago) we were given special beach towel. Its a little difficult to have only one towel for the beach, which you must both sit on and dry with. So, BRING YOUR OWN!!!!

Also, there is only ONE place to get free beverages (ice tea/lemonade/coffee/etc.) on the ship. If you go to the Solarium snack area or the Seaview cafe, you can get snacks, but the only beverages they have are for sale. I find this just a little annoying. Overall, great cruise, great ship, but they are cutting down on all the wrong extras!!!
