We were scheduled on the Norwegian Jewel Jan 20th to Feb 1st out of NYC. Because of winter weather, we decided to spend the weekend in the city, and not worry about the potential problem. We had a car service take us from New Jersey, on Friday, to the city, and then a car service to ship on Sunday, around 12:30pm. We were in an owners suite so getting on the ship was quick. We were escorted to Cagney's for lunch, and by the time we were done we went to the suite.

We were in suite 9004 (Haven) at the front of the ship. This was the second and last time we would take a suite or room at the front of the ship. Too much sea movement felt along with wasted areas. That said, it is a beautiful suite with a lot of room. Side balcony could be bigger. A very large bathroom and a guest washroom make it convenient. It is totally quiet and dark at night. The bed, king size, is very comfortable. There is a dining area, a living room and bar area. Plenty of storage and closet space. Three flat screen TV's.

We used Cagney's for breakfast and some lunches. We used the haven courtyard for many of our lunches. Dinner we only used the specialty restaurants. They were better than average and well worth the additional money required. We liked the variety of choices in cuisines. We have traveled on so many ships and have been to the islands multiple times that we now look to the ship to be our resort and want to make the ship as comfortable for us as possible.
