This was the first cruise for my wife and I. After booking the cruise with a local travel agent, we did much research on the boards of Cruise Critic and it was well worth.
Embarkation was a snap. From the time we got to the terminal until we got into our room was maybe 20 minutes. Even though it was extremely foggy as we left New Orleans and started down the Mississippi River, we had nothing but fun with some people we met via the Cruise Critic Boards.
Dining: I had so many things about the dining from the good to the bad. We never had a bad meal, and we are a couple that eat out quite often at home. Our waiter, Rodrigo (from Chile), was simply the best. Not only did we enjoy our meals with the people from our table, but from the 2 tables next to us as well. We all had a ball. We had breakfast several time in the Windjammer and enjoyed the food, with one exception. The scrambled eggs were too watery. After the second day, I just made the adjustment and had a fresh omelette made,. Wise choice. The Grand Buffet was just spectacular. It is hard to imagine how much work goes into preparing such a sumptuous feast.
