Charming Ship - Great Price
Firstly, let me get the money issue out of the way. Four days for a family of four for just £550. Including Marseille, Barcelona, Genoa and a sea day was excellent value.
A charming ship, but not many things for kids to do, away from the kids club.
The Ed Sheeran tribute show, was one of the best I've seen on msc. The theatre was spacious and ...
I had an aft-facing balcony on D12 and my nephew was in another cabin close by.
First and foremost, we had a fabulous time. The ship is weirdly designed, with inadequate public space. Walkways are too narrow, always felt like you were climbing over people. On pool deck, it was very congested trying to walk along dodging stage, audience, pool, bar, and very tight rows of loungers. I ...
Background: I was in inside room on 9th floor, this is my 11th cruise.
I ended up on the Epic really only because of the itinerary (11 day port intensive with 3 overnight stays). I was skeptical of the ship after reading others reviews but am glad to say they are mostly overblown. However, I will note that because I was on such a port intensive cruise I really made only very limited use of the ...
Deal was excellent for places of interest.
2 nights in some ports were a great way to allow time to explore.
Europe- incredible architecture, history, stories, a must for anyone to learn, enjoy, and take in the sights.
Two nights in a Palma would have been great, beautiful island, met nice folks, but a day at the beach would have even perfect.
Naples- another location where two nights ...
Pros:
- The ship is beautiful, with plenty of stuff to do and activities to cater to all tastes and interests.
- The LED palms in the World Promenade are great, the light show is only 5 minutes but very enjoyable.
- The specialty/premium bars (Gin Project, Elixir, Fixx Champagne Bar etc.) have a great range of drinks and ambience, fairly quiet too compared with the likes of the Dolce ...
My wife and I cruise with different companies and on ships that go from 180 to 6000 passengers. When we chose this sailing from Marseille, it had however been a while since sailing on of these huge vessels (the last was Symphony of the Seas in 2018 or 2019). We were not that confident that we had made a good choice, as we've had to some hit-and-miss experiences on other MSC ships between 2019 and ...
This ship was beautiful. Our room was very nicely designed with loads of storage (Two full length closets). Bathroom small but I would rather have the space in the room. Good sized balcony which we used a lot. The top sail lounge was really well done and spacious. Our club dining room was also very nice although service spotty. Food was OK and wine list limited and not great. The staff tried ...
Cheap balcony price was the initial reason for picking MSC, but after looking at the itinerary we decided "yes it's time for a Mediterranean cruise". The onboarding was very efficient as we had a time slot to arrive and literally walked past many people waiting and went directly onboard after a couple of minutes only. Off to a GREAT start as I hate the line ups and bring heard like cattle. Our ...
We chose this cruise as it sails from Marseille which is easily accessible by us and because we wanted Yacht Club, which we have experienced before aboard the MSC Meriviglia.
This is only the second time we have chosen an interior cabin (cruised about 20 times so far) and we probably wouldn't choose an interior cabin again. It was fairly comfortable but we really missed having a balcony or ...
Having read some of the previous reviews, we were a bit worried about taking this cruise. However, overall it warrants the four stars I have given it. The service throughout the ship was mostly very good, which was good as you cannot remove the service charge of 10 Euros per person a day on any Costa ship.
The ship was in a pretty good condition, but it is starting to show a few signs of ...
