I have been on 14 cruises (4 Disney, 4 NCL, 3 Carnival, 2 Tradewinds catamarans, and 1 Costa). I am most disappointed with NCL. The service has gotten worse. I do like the NCL’s ports I’ve sailed (Bermuda, Mexican Pacific, Western Caribbean and Hawaii) but I would have had a better experience visiting those ports with another cruise line, or even sticking to resorts and getting a rental car.
As ...
We were looking forward to seeing the Hawaii islands and thought a cruise would be a good way to do this; however, we were quite disappointed in the cruise for many reasons. Having been on NCL for previous cruises, we were looking forward to a great experience; unfortunately this cruise was well below the standards we had seen on previous cruises. The ship is 19 years old, so the pool area is ...
Where to begin. Cold and mediocre food on the buffet. Only about TWO total entertainment activities worth your time.
Because of weather, 2 out of our 3 excursions were canceled and couldn't be rescheduled because they had no back up plan. Most of the staff was rude and treated us like an after thought and not like a guest at all. Guest services argued with us that we hadn't paid for a drink ...
The nice thing about Pride is you see three islands - it is a floating hotel.
The bad news is the food was terrible, the staff mediocre. We had some specialty dining in Cagneys and Moderno. Those were both good, but the food on the buffet was terrible. The night they had prime three of four in our party ordered it and not one person could eat it. I've had beef jerk more tender. ...
Upon entering the ship, staff was attentive & friendly. After we left Honolulu, it became clear we were a burden to waitstaff in ALL the bars. One evening in more formal dining, it took us 2 hours to get our food- 3 meals were served after they sat on the counter 15 minutes and the other 5 meals were brought out after the first 3 were served-Those 5 meals sat 15 more minutes before served 40 ...
We experienced most of what the other low rated reviewers experienced. Mostly the balcony room was so small that I had to fold a 35 pound wheel chair and carry it over the bed to the only area where there was room. Every time we wanted to open the safe or go on the balcony the wheel chair had to be moved.
Another viewer said it best, a very expensive ferry ride. Entertainment was mostly non ...
The only positive thing I can say about this cruise is that the ship did not sink. The food is awful. The service is either awful or just okay. There are little to no actual activities on the ship. So you will find yourself doing nothing for the most part. Everything is over priced. They charge fountain soda for 5 dollars, this doesn’t include the automatic 20% gratuity either. They over price the ...
Terrible service and amenities even though I paid for an owners suite. The first few days were nonstop with nothing listed or expected. Stateroom suite had issues with electrical, and jacuzzi. “Butler” was just a steward by a different name. I was continually embarrassed in front of my children trying to get the services that were promised with my “suite” and VIP status. It was more than ...
From the outset of this cruise, there were significant issues that marred our trip. Our reservation, made 2 years in advance and re-confirmed just months before the sailing included specific requests for connecting rooms. Unfortunately, in March 2023, we were given separate staterooms. Our party included of 30+passengers, including 6 young children under 9 years old. This unexpected arrangement ...
My husband and I love cruising and have traveled the world. We wanted to celebrate our 40th anniversary with family and share our favorite way to sight-see. My husband was skeptical, saying that cruising the Hawaiian Islands was really an expensive ferry ride... but I persevered and convinced him that it would be an amazing family celebration and vacation (without worrying about passports, etc., ...
