While there were many things I enjoyed about the cruise, there were a number of major problems.
The main reason I was going to Cuba was to experience Havana. I was expecting to have 2 days in Havana. When I asked in advance when I could get on the ship, I was told a few times that I would be able to board the ship around 1pm. I arrived early on Monday in Havana, and was then told that we could ...
We chose this cruise line because we are Americans wanting to visit Cuba and at the time this was our best choice. Ship is old, windows were dirty, crew not helpful and unfriendly. Most unfriendly crew we have had in a dozen cruises. I want to compliment the house keeping crew, they were extremely friendly and accommodating. Food was good considering only having one restaurant. Our mini suite ...
Embarkation was good but not enough signs directing you to the check-in desk or to the ship (MSC was also docked here and their signs were everywhere which made it a little confusing). Disembarkation was very smooth.
The cabin was clean and good size but not enough room to put your luggage. The bed was comfortable. The toiletries were good. The towels were OK, a little coarse. Housekeeping ...

And it’s the first time I’ll make such a long post… So 7 nights on the Louis Cristal (25,000 ton ship chartered by Cuba Cruise). We are French speaking Canadians but think our report can be useful to our neighbors from ...
As I was composing this review and thinking of all the negatives that I wanted to write about, I realized that I was not making it clear that I think, even with its many flaws, this cruise was still the best way to visit Cuba. The ports of call were the real reason to take the cruise and they did not disappoint.
Being able to visit Havana, Cienfuegos and Santiago while traveling overnight and ...
The Good
We boarded the Cuba cruise in Havana on January 19, 2015 at approximately 12h30 and the embarkation was extremely smooth.. We were in our cabin within minutes and our bags arrived within the hour..
The service throughout the ship was exceptional - actually one of the best we have had.. We have taken cruises rated 5+ stars (Princess, Celebrity & Oceania) and have not seen this level of ...
