10+ Cruises

We chose this cruise because of departure from Greenock. Embarkation went smoothly and our luggage was in our cabin before us! We sailed out on the five night cruise up the Scottish coast our itinery was Fort William, Ullapool and Invergorden before sailing back to Greenock. On board the entertainment was excellent with a very talented group of singers and dancers. Food was very good and drinks ...

2-5 Cruises

Age 60s

We chose this ship as it was leaving from scotland and was not a big ship. Embarkation was good and the safety drill well done though i was disturbed that wee were not made to wear and demonstrate our life jackets on other cruises this has not been the case. W were well aware of the ship and were pleasantly surprised at the general state of her. Food good. entertainment really excellent ...

First Time Cruiser

Haven't been on a cruise before so thought this mini cruise to Liverpool would be ideal for first time.Went with friends just to see how we would get on.We left from Greenock which was really good no hassles, once on board we were shown to our cabins all though quite small they were very clean and comfortable, only problem was at bedtime as were on a low deck was a little bit noisy. 2-5 Cruises

Age 70s

I’ve read some of the negatives about this ship but we were pleasantly surprised. Don’t take any notice of the whingers! It’s not ‘old’; it’s well maintained, spotless, and very comfortable. We chose this cruise because it sailed out from Greenock in Scotland and we were visiting Scotland from Australia at the time. We chose a cabin on Columbus deck and were pleasantly surprised to find our cabin ...

2-5 Cruises

Age 80s

I had never cruised on my own before, though I had cruised with my husband before he passed away. This was my first experience with Fred Olsen. I can honestly say that I enjoyed every minute. From being greeted at Greenock, to leaving the ship after 8 days, I felt safe and well cared for. The crew were friendly without being familiar, The ship was immaculate, and the food was delicious at every ...

10+ Cruises

Age 60s

Tried a Fred Olsen cruise purely because it left from Greenock. Had an enjoyable time. The cabin a balcony suite was excellent, clean, spacious and an added bonus we could smoke on our balcony. Must be the only cruise line which allows this. The service and staff were brilliant. The food a bit too fancy for our basic taste as we don't eat fish or game but what we ate was well presented and always ...

We chose this cruise for it's itinerary through Scotland, St Kilda, Orkneys, Shetlands though 24 hour daylight cruising in Norway was a fabulous bonus. For me the hikes, the bird life (they set you down right in middle of thousands of puffins and razor bills and guillemots etc. ) the scenery were the highlights. They really make an effort to get you ashore even in difficult weather. We were ...
