Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Orchestra

This is a longish review as I had read some very negative MSC reviews prior to leaving Australia for this cruise on MSC Orchestra. However, we still went with open minds and open hearts. Travelling is also an often emotive topic- as people may not have much precious vacation time, may have had better experiences on other holidays and so it becomes quite comparative at times. We have cruised ...

What a magnificent way to see the countries around the Mediterraneran

We wanted a cruising experience - unlike the Sydney based ones where you have a few days at sea before you see anything - and the Orchestra itinerary was the perfect solution. We embarked in Civitavecchia in a very well run and professional process to gather the herd of new passengers. We were very impressed with our cabins for their layout, the space and state of cleanliness. Our first night ...

My boyfriend and I are 19 and 20. We are both pretty busy people starting careers and completing various qualifications. Last minute (one month before the holiday) we booked to go on the Orchestra end of may to early June for a week. First of all the cabin was everything and more than what we expected. It was spacious and bright, despite the balcony being directly above the lifeboats the ...

Food, cleanliness, service all really good, always found something nice to eat, staff amazing. Aurea package good with massage, priority embarkation, dressing gown and slippers, access to jacuzzi etc, my-time dining and (adults only)top sail 16. Entertainment good especially Tai Chi classes and Spanish mother & son duo opera. Only slight complaint, top sail 16 needs to be monitored to ...

An truly outstanding experience

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Orchestra

I was astounded to read that MSC have only a 54% passenger satisfaction rating, so was apprehensive when I booked an outside balcony cabin for a 17 night Transatlantic cruise for the bargain price of just £770. My wife and I have cruised twice with P&O who set the bar very high, but we were not disappointed. On the contrary, the MSC experience was better in almost every way. We bought a ...

Outstanding combination of European and Brazilian ports punctuated by a five day calm Transatlantic crossing was the initial attraction - the value for money pricing was a further benefit. Organisation from embarkation to disembarkation, tendering and service throughout the ship exceeded expectations. Food in the dinning rooms was average but the self serve offering were wide ranging, innovative, ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Orchestra

Me & my partner made this cruise in December 08, weatherwise not the ideal time for the Western Mediterranean (ports: Genova, Barcelona, Casablanca, Madeira, Tenerife, Malaga, Civitavecchia-Rome). We enjoyed little sunshine these 11 days, but temperatures were higher than expected, typically around 17 degrees Celsius. As we had a balcony cabin, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting outdoors into the ...

EMBARKATION: Embarkation was fairly quick for us. If you pre-register your passport information online and have your printout available at check-in, you will be able to go to the express check-in line. The earlier that you get to the port, the earlier you get on board. MSC issues numbered tickets once you have gone to the terminal registration counter where you provide your credit card and ...

This was booked with a budget in mind - and we got a balcony for the same price as an outside cabin! The flights were good and the transfer from the airport very good - although as Genoa is one of the smallest airports I have been to in a long time I don't think it would be difficult to have a smooth transfer. Genoa was not a great looking place but as we were only passing through we were not ...

Just returned from a fantastic cruise. Check-in was a breeze and friendly. I was a bit apprehensive after booking this cruise mainly because of the number of passengers and the reviews that have been posted and also that the cruise was fully booked. However all I can say is it was far better than expected. Cabin was fabulous; hairdryer, soaps shampoo, dressing gown, flat screen TV where you ...
