It's taken a little time to get this together, but it's finally done. We had a great 8 night Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Radiance. It was a long-planned cruise for us (50 something couple) and was designed to allow us to have an intimate vacation while visiting some islands to look for spots for future land-based trips.
Pre-Cruise: We flew from Seattle to Ft Lauderdale on American Airlines ...
Travelled from Glasgow via London to Miami with AA. Everything went well. Hired a car and drove to Holiday Inn at Lauderdale by the Sea for 4 days. This hotel is past its sell by date for decor but it was friendly and had the facilities we wanted.
Enjoyed stay although we just missed taking a direct hit from a tornado by a short distance(1/2 mile)when out driving. Very very scary.

All I can say is WOW! One of my best cruises ever! I'm 41, female and was traveling with my parents 76 & 83. My first cruise ever was on the Radiance to Alaska 09/2003. The ship looks just as beautiful today as it did then!
Traveling from California, we decided to arrive one day early and stayed at the Ramada Airport/Cruise port hotel on hwy 84. They are located just 1-1/2 miles from both the ...
This is our second RCI cruise and the first on a mid to larger size ship. We are a couple in our fifties and have caught the cruising bug. As the time drew near to start the cruise our expectations rose. I'd like to report they were all fulfilled!!!
On the 8th of December we drove from Montgomery, Alabama to Atlanta, Georgia to catch our Air Trans flight to Ft Lauderdale. By taking late flights ...
The Ship The Radiance is a beautiful ship. We sailed on her three years ago and she still looks new. The service was top notch, our stateroom was clean and well maintained, the food was exquisite, and the Captain was a "Hurly-Gurly" nut. Our only complaints would be that the shows seemed a tad stale and overdone and there seemed to be a lot more emphasis on upselling products and services than I ...
Review of Radiance of the Seas, 8-day eastern Caribbean cruise, October 28, 2006 - November 5, 2006
First, a breakdown of the ship:
The Room - I was pleasantly surprised that the D1 category room was a bit more accommodating than I was expecting. Blame the fact that my last 4 cruises were in minisuites, but even though the D1 is slightly larger than the standard balcony room, I was really ...
I have no comparisons because this was my first cruise but it was the best dollar I've ever spent. The Radiance is a beautiful ship with lots of glass so the sights are wonderful all the time. The whole experience from going on the ship to leaving the ship was great. I'm not going to go in depth with the review because you should experience the Radiance yourself.
The service was the best service ...
Radiance of the Seas, 1/18/04 sailing, Eastern Caribbean
7 days is NOT long enough!
To preface this review, we had a group of 8, my wife's parents, who are in their 70's and 2 of my wife's sisters with their husbands, who are late 30's to early 40's and my wife, Joni and me who are in our late 40's. The 2 sisters and husbands had cruised with Carnival previously and it was the parents and ...
I am 22 years old and this was my first cruise and although I have travelled a lot- I have never had such a wonderful vacation! I was hesitant to come on this cruise, I was joining my family and not quite sure what to expect. Never beyond my wildest dreams could I have been more overwhelmed with everything that was offered on board.
What started off as a delayed boarding time (due to late ...

We are back from the 11/9 eastern Radiance cruise where we had a very nice time. The weather was not the best but we still had fun. Comparisons will be made to past Carnival cruises from time to time.
Arrival:
We flew down to Ft. Lauderdale from Columbus, OH on Delta the day before the cruise. We were picked up promptly by the shuttle which took us to the ...
