Nice cruise but diminished service

Had been on Royal Princess five years ago and it was wonderful. Also, Princess Cruises seems to be the only cruise line with self-service laundry on each deck. -Check-in at Port Everglades was chaotic. Different agents told us to go to different places. -Luggage took almost 6 hours to come to our cabin. -Before we left home, Princess agent told us unlimited email was $139.99 and we had ...

The Emerald Princess is a lovely ship. Not the newest ship or the biggest ship and has some needed upgrades/updates that are scheduled. Medallion Net etc. but it is a lovely ship. We sailed transatlantic from Ft. Lauderdale to Rome. 22 days and enjoyed every one of them. Great weather helped. Friendly passengers who are like minded were lots of fun but the best part of the experience was the ...

We chose because, although this would be my first cruise. the other three people had previous good experiences with Princess. However, all four of us will NEVER sail with Princess again. From booking on there were problems. We were misled on the use of on board credits; our free premium drink package was not honored until we proved it was legit; food was lukewarm on the buffets while the ...

Pre Cruise: Our vacation began in Ft. Lauderdale where we stayed in a small, newly-built, Quality Suites hotel near the airport. If you're staying overnight prior to the cruise, you won't need a rental car. The hotel will pick you up at the airport and transport you to the cruise pier for free. You won't need a car rental, as you can walk to a few nearby restaurants. But if you plan to do ...

Chose this cruise because it was later in the spring, have cruised to the Baltic five times already, and cruised the TA on the Emerald Princess its inaugeral year. Our first surprise was a five category upgrade. Embarkation was a breeze with our luggage delivered before dinner. Pizza for lunch did not disapoint. DaVinci main dining room was great our waiter and assistant waiter were ...

Great ship we ate any time dinning and we were lucky to have a great head waiter and waiter and his assistan. were the best. The food was extremly good and we really enjoyed our time on board The shows were really good and the entertaiment in the lounges were excellent. We had fun in the CaSSINO . wE THOUGHT THAT WE MIGHT HAVE FOUND THE 6 DAYS AT SEA TOO MUCH BUT WE ACTUALLY ENJOYED IT. Once we ...

Great way to see Europe; make sure you stay after disembarkation!

We chose this cruise based on the transatlantic itinerary. Embarkation and lifeboat drill were flawless. We particularly like the inside lifeboat drill where you are able to sit in air conditioning for the 20 minutes or so. Other lines force you to stand in the heat awaiting the arrival of other passengers. Our cabin on Aloha deck (234) was good as well as the steward, who always kept ...

Amazing & cheap Transatlantic cruise; Princess impressed me.

I am new to princess cruises, and they made a good 1st impression as far as the ship, crew, food and itinerary. The only complaint i had was embarkation at fort lauderdale port. First, boarding was running late, apparently because it took them too long to get everyone off the previous sailing. I say start charging passengers $100 for every 15 minutes they're late disembarking & that'll get them ...

Emerald Princess Transatlantic April 2-16 2016 This was our 4th cruise and second on the Emerald. We arrived in Ft Lauderdale on the 1st April 2016 to a nice day. Cheapest room we could find was the Ramada inn Cruise terminal. This was not fancy by any standard but had a great Complimentary Breakfast and transportation from the airport, and to the cruise terminal. We spent the afternoon ...

A Cruise to Remember

This was our third cruise on Princess. We wanted the experience of a Trans-Atlantic crossing and my husband had always wanted to visit Omaha Beach to see where the troops landed during the Normandy invasion of World War II. This cruise offered a shore excursion which went to the beach, cemetery, and museum. It was the perfect cruise. While I had concerns about rough waters, I was pleasantly ...
