Well I had a wonderful cruise aboard this fine old lady of a ship! I expected a friendly well run ship and that's exactly what I got. Really wonderful cabin - large and kept spotlessly clean by Nim who couldn't do enough for me (and reocmmend the wash and fold service at the end of the cruise, done so well didn't need to iron anything!) Braemar is a very happy, friendly ship. Being smaller, it's much easier and quicker getting on and off the ship - didn't have to queue once for anything during the whole cruise. Embarkation and disembarkation was slick and very quick with plenty of helpful crew members around to help. This was one of the best, most relaxing cruises I have been on. The highlight was cruising along the Seine, to and from Rouen. We also cruised inland to Bordeaux, and that is a beautiful city. Evening entertainment was very good, and we were always able to find a seat for the 2nd sitting show. My partner were on our first cruise. The car parking and check-in at Dover were excellent; we were given clear directions to the car-park, porters took our luggage from the car and it next turned up outside our cabin.
