Disappointing for the most part.

First of all, Boston is not a great port. I would never sail out of there again. It was crowded and disorganized for embarkation. We were listed to register from11:30 to 12:00 which meant nothing. I would encourage others to register after 2:00 because the wait is long. The staff, for the most part were great. Our room attendant was super. The dining room staff worked very hard and seemed ...

Disappointed with my suite

Well I am Sapphire level on NCL. I have also cruised with many other lines but because of my level I typically pick NCL. This is the very first time in over 45 cruises in total that we did a suite. We had a forward facing balcony suite. The room was amazing until we read the sign “balcony only available when in port” and the other sign “curtains must be closed at night”. None of this was ...

needs refurbishing

The ship is old and in desperate need of refurbishing. We got a great rate and feel that it was worth the fare we paid. Had we paid full fare I would have been very upset. 1. as per the title, the ship is in need of refurbishing, and a good cleaning, first ship I have been on where they are not constantly cleaning especially while in port. 2. club balcony small, wall to wall beds w/maybe ...

Less than expected

This is the fourth time I have taken a Bermuda cruise with NCL, unfortunately, this was the most disappointing of the four. This was the first time on the NCL Pearl and while the ship was nice and the staff was exceptional there were a few areas that are not like they were in past sailings. First, the entertainment was a significant downgrade, in the past the nightly entertainment was excellent ...

First let me start by saying the cruise itself was a mostly pleasurable experience. • starting with the easy check-in process, it was very smooth. • the room was ready at approx. 3:00 p.m. With our luggage waiting for us. • no more turn down service as was our many previous cruises. • Dining room was pretty much hit and miss for dinner (the quality has gone down a bit) • Lotus ...

This cruise was a gift. The outside room with a Balcony was wonderful. Roomy and definitely large enough for 2 adults. The food was average. I ate at Cagney Steakhouse and was disappointed. I make a tastier steak at home on the grill. The Brazilian restaurant was Good, especially because there is plenty of variety. I expected more shows than what was presented. The dance class was great. It ...

Not the greatest cruise

The embarking and disembarking went very smoothly. The staff of the ship were very friendly and extremely helpful. The shows were great, especially Alex Yost the singer and Alex Ortiz the comedian. The Legends in concert was very good too. Our main complaints were the food wasn’t up to par in any of the restaurants and the same things were in the buffet all week. The activities were also ...

We chose this cruise for my adult son. We haven't been on NCL since a disastrous cruise in 2008. Embarkation was smooth. We were on the ship quickly. Headed to Summer Palace and had a very nice lunch while waiting for cabins to be open. We were in cabin 101**, a handicapped accessible inside that was very nice. Our cabin steward was Jonathan. I thought I would like the once a day service ...

Great staff, limited ship

First of all the cruise staff was absolutely amazing during this recent cruise. Not a single complaint about NCL staff at all, they did an amazing job. There's some negatives though: -The ship seemed very short staff. Lines of 10-15 people waiting for a drink were not abnormal. The staff was all working their rears off to keep up, but without the right amount of help it was a long time ...

Chilly cruise to Bermuda

The ship was packed, I have never seen one so packed. Unfortunately the weather was not very good so the pool area was not as enjoyable and one day the weather cancelled all of my shore excursions. From the day after arrival in Bermuda, the weather was chilly until arriving in Boston for an unusually warm day, it did affect the enjoyment but that was God's will The food at the buffet was very ...
