Stay Tuned: Cruise Critic to Set Sail on Norwegian Breakaway Cruise Ship
(5:56 p.m. EDT) -- Norwegian Cruise Line's highly anticipated launch of Norwegian Breakaway is right around the corner, and Cruise Critic will be there covering it live. Breakaway will sail a one-night cruise from Rotterdam to Southampton on Sunday before staying in port for a two-night inaugural celebration Monday and Tuesday, and our U.K. editor will be aboard the entire time.

You can follow the ship's launch on our Breakaway page, complete with live Twitter feed and photo slideshow. Stay tuned for a "First Impressions" blog, lots more photos and six short videos offering a sneak peek inside the ship's dining options, cabins, activities, entertainment and more.

The 146,600-ton, 4,028-passenger Norwegian Breakaway is the first of two sister ships and the largest ship ever to homeport in New York City. It will feature a quarter-mile-long "boardwalk" dotted new dining options and lounges, a three-deck atrium spanning the length of the ship and a massive water park with the first-ever free fall slide at sea. Additional highlights include a new salt spa and "Black Light Spinning." Breakaway will be officially christened by the Rockettes on May 8.
