Update, 4:50 p.m. EDT: Celebrity Century will depart Barcelona at 11:30 p.m. local time this evening, according to company spokeswoman Cynthia Martinez.
(5 a.m. EDT) -- Celebrity Cruises has confirmed that all repairs to Celebrity Century's rudders have been completed -- however boarding for its transatlantic cruise from Barcelona will be delayed until later today.
The line had been working on the repairs over the weekend at the Chantier Naval de Marseille shipyard in Marseilles. Due to a slightly delayed departure from the yard, it will now arrive in Barcelona at around 3:30 p.m. (local time), according to Celebrity.
A statement reads: "Due to this delayed arrival, the boarding process has subsequently been delayed and will begin as soon as the ship arrives in Barcelona. The ship will depart from Barcelona once all guests are onboard. This delayed departure will not impact Celebrity Century's arrival into Malaga, Spain on Wednesday."
The damage was originally discovered during a dive inspection while the ship was docked in Nice, France, on October 14, during a Mediterranean cruise. The remainder of the cruise had to be cancelled while repairs took place.
