Oceania Jumps on Increased Fuel Surcharge Bandwagon
"In response to the continually escalating price of fuel" -- or should we say, in response to increases by Royal Caribbean, NCL, and Carnival -- Oceania has raised its fuel surcharge to $10 per person, per day. The higher fee applies to all bookings made on or after May 1, 2008.

Unlike the aforementioned cruise lines, Oceania will only apply this charge to the first two passengers sharing a stateroom. However, there is no cap on the surcharge amount, so travelers on longer sailings will get hit hard.

Oceania's current surcharge -- in effect through April 30 -- is $7 per person, per day.
