(8 a.m.) -- In response to a hurricane watch in Bermuda, NCL has altered itineraries for Norwegian Crown and Norwegian Majesty. To avoid Hurricane Nate, both ships left Bermuda on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and will end their cruises with three days at sea. Norwegian Crown will return to New York as scheduled at 7 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2005. Norwegian Majesty will return to Boston as scheduled at 7 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2005.
Nate is currently a Category One hurricane located about 130 miles south-southeast of Bermuda. Though the hurricane watch for Bermuda has been discontinued, a tropical storm watch remains in effect there.
Celebrity Cruises, the other major Bermuda-oriented cruise line, has not made any changes as yet.
We'll keep you posted on any other itinerary changes. |
