We are a well traveled English couple in our mid 50's and have traveled all over the world in the last 32 years staying in 2* accommodation to 5*+. This is our review of Our Fly Cruise on the P & O Oceana Cruise Ship for a 16 night holiday in May / June 2016.

This was the first proper cruse for myself. My wife has previously been on a short cruise and our friends who came with us have been on several. My only previous experience of this type of holiday was a Nile River Cruse that was very good and worth doing if you have not done so. Anyway, we chose this cruise because the ports of call interested us but in particular we wanted to go to the Monaco F1 Grand Prix. The Oceana just happened to be the ship that was available for the Grand Prix date.

We traveled from Gatwick UK with British Airways into Genoa and stayed 2 nights at the Best Western City Hotel. The fight from the UK took just 1 hour 40 minutes; no problems at all. We were met at the airport and transferred to the hotel, again no problems. We were given rooms with the balcony terrace overlooking the town. This hotel is in a good location to explore from and the rooms were nice and comfortable. Genoa is a very nice town and worth spending a few days in. (The flight home with British Airways was a bit of a shambles with a 4 hour delay, an unwell passenger, a lack of meals and although the flight attendants tried to put on a brave face you could see that the painted on smiles were hiding embarrassment.)
