have just arrived back this week from our first cruise (my wife and i cellibrated 40 years of married life).we spent our first week cruising and the second week in palma nova. what a wonderfull cruise, could not believe how good it was, was spoilt from the first day to the last by a wonderfull ships crew. the food (mainly the island restaurant) was wonderful. the entertainment wae brilliant put together by a wonderfull team who performed all over the ship. the excursions were well organised, but did our own thing in corsica and livorna where there were taxis at half the excursion prices giving you the same trips. our cabin was very clean and spotless thanks to the efforts of chandran who looked after us, was rewarded by us for a job very well done.

what was our highlight was meeting a lot of very nice people cruising like ourselves, that was absoulutely wonderfull.

second week was the stay part of our cruise and stay holidy, we stayed at the santa lucia in palma nova, a wonderfull hotel, but we were so spoilt on the cruise it was a little bit of a let down on the second week. should have done the hotel stay first and the cruise second. i would recommend the island escape to anyone. we are looking to the same ship again for next year.
