I've cruised 6 times before. 4 times with Carnival, once with Norwegian and once with Princess. Although I've consulted this site many times, this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review.
For the life of me I cannot understand why the Miracle is rated as Carnival's #2 ship on this site. There are so many other better ships in their fleet that are superior. The reason that I ...
I will start off by saying that I am not a Carnival Cruise Line fan. Admittedly I have not cruised with Carnival on any Carnival ship for over 20 years. The ships we've been on are the Holiday and Jubilee, both of which are long gone.
In brief, the embarkation experience in Long Beach, CA was less than acceptable. Really?, outdoors on make-shift, temporary tables??? Once onboard (about ...
We left on Feb. 13th from Long Beach, Ca. we parked in the parking garage. It was $133.00 for the week. Super convenient, just walk across street to Terminal. I would get there at 12:30, they don't let anyone on till 1:00 pm. so why wait in line all day. Plus if it's hot it's really a long wait.
We just walked on. Drop off your suitcases with the porter. Our Cabin was a balcony, there are so ...
We had not sailed on Carnival for about 6 years, and had left from the port in San Diego. Now they embark all their west coast departures (except Alaska) from Long Beach. The embarkation procedure was really terrible. The registration is outdoors, and it was cold, rainy and windy. We were supposed to have special needs assistance, the S.N. department emailed me that we should contact the ...
Generally I do not write reviews that comment about the short comings on a trip but this one can not go without comment.
Embarkation: The cruise got started with several problems. First problems was the sign-in that was done in the patio of terminal while it was raining and blowing close to 30 mph winds. Second problems was that sign in was incomplete so that meant that you had to go to a ...
The Miracle is reminiscent of an aging dowager sporting an excess of poorly applied makeup who defiantly refuses to update either her appearance or the cuisine she serves to guests.
Before booking this cruise, my husband and I re-set (i.e. lowered) our expectations based upon past reviews and You Tube video tours. Nevertheless, we forged ahead and enjoyed some aspects while being terribly ...
Thought it would be nice to relax & cruise to Hawaii (this was a 15 day cruise) We flew into LAX the day before the cruise but returned in the morning to take the transportation bus to Long Beach. It was difficult finding the representatives for Carnival Lines at LAX.
Standing in line at the port to register took about an hour +, not too bad. We took a bus into Long Beach to walk around ...
Very disappointed in this cruise and ship. Not many activities to do onboard unless you like trivia a lot, quality of food not good - felt like eating same thing over and over. Staff not helpful and sometimes rude. Service very slow (slow getting drinks, slow clearing tables, etc.). Shore excursions expensive and not worth the money.
Too many things on ship "cost extra". ...
As a quick bit of information I've cruise with Carnival 2 times before (including on the Miracle in 2005) and also with NCL, Princess, HAL, RCI and MSC.
This cruise was part of a wider trip to the west coast of the states and was the best Hawaii round trip itinerary out of all the major players (Princess, HAL and Celebrity) as it's the only one that does 5 ports in Hawaii instead of 4. It ...
We had been to Hawaii before and know how beautiful it is, and were looking forward to sharing it's beauty with our friends. There was a group of 14 of us.
The ship was old and in fair condition. The rooms were average and the beds were very uncomfortable. Our backs were killing us the first night. The bedding, however, was comfortable.
Activities - what activities?? If you don't ...
