Thought it would be nice to relax & cruise to Hawaii (this was a 15 day cruise) We flew into LAX the day before the cruise but returned in the morning to take the transportation bus to Long Beach. It was difficult finding the representatives for Carnival Lines at LAX.

Standing in line at the port to register took about an hour +, not too bad. We took a bus into Long Beach to walk around for something to do. Embarking was easy due to most were already aboard. Our luggage arrived at different times to our cabin. Didn't know that we had a refrigerator for several days into the cruise due to it was locked. Our room steward was wonderful and very helpful our needs.

We mainly ate in the Main dining room. Seated at our table were two other couples, one gentleman was rude, brash & a know it all. Very unpleasant for several evenings. The waiters were unfriendly plus extremely busy. The food for the first couple of days was excellent but the middle to end of the cruise it changed to not very good. We did change tables in which we had an excellent staff. The food in the buffet lines was not at all appealing to look at nor have much taste. We did like the pizza, cereal, some sandwiches; even the fruit was bad by the end of the cruise. Soft serve ice cream was plentiful.
