I will start off by saying that I am not a Carnival Cruise Line fan. Admittedly I have not cruised with Carnival on any Carnival ship for over 20 years. The ships we've been on are the Holiday and Jubilee, both of which are long gone.

In brief, the embarkation experience in Long Beach, CA was less than acceptable. Really?, outdoors on make-shift, temporary tables??? Once onboard (about 11:30am) we made our way to the lunch buffet which was about what we expected, okay but nothing to talk about.

The best part of our cruise experience was the cabin. 6219 is a balcony cabin on Empress deck (deck 6, starboard side). It was roomy and in great condition. We were very pleasantly surprised. I wish the rest of the ship was as nice and comfortable as our cabin. I would highly recommend cabin 6219.
