This was our 7th cruise. So far we've sailed with Celebrity, Princess and Carnival. Vision of the Seas was our first (and, I expect, last) experience with Royal Caribbean. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, which included a stop in Klaipeda, Lithuania. That was a distinct difference from other Baltic cruises offered by other lines.
Pluses: The ship's decor was the most tasteful ...
Selected this cruise because found it to be the ONLY cruise visiting ALL the Baltic countries and advertised its internet as the fastest in the industry. In fact, we did visit all the countries but found the internet is slowest we have every experienced after cruising for 20 or more years with several other cruise lines. Foreced to cancel the package we had purchased and will consider any ...
Other than the fabulous itinerary, everything about this ship is really mediocre. I had not sailed on RCCL in over 15 years and things have changed dramatically - and not for the better.
Let's start with the Main Dining Room. The food is equal to lower level reception dinner. Service was good, but I found it disgusting that the scrapping of plates and the throwing of cutlery into the ...
Group of 10 went on back to back cruises. Chose this cruise because of the itinerary plus the sail date worked with our cruise on another ship. Some of us were on RCL cruises a couple of years ago and noticed the decline in quality so our expectation was low on this cruise and yet the further drastic decline was absolutely shocking. In the past RCL was just as good as any other lines but in the ...
This was our first time aboard Vision of the Seas, we had a fabulous time, it was the first time that 90% of the concierge guests got on very well and being of a wide variety of nationalities in there all having a good time. The concierge and waiters where excellent providing a wonderful service. The only down side we found was we never saw our head waiter until I asked to find out if we had one ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, we had never visited Latvia, Lithuania or Poland, we had been to Copenhagen, Estonia, Russia, Sweden and Finland and previously enjoyed all these ports. Poland was the best maybe because we had great weather and both Sopot and Gdansk were beautiful, would definitely go back.
The food was always lukewarm never hot, and the appearance of food in the ...
Never having visited Latvia or Lithuania we decided this was the itinerary for us.
It was our first time sailing on Vision and probably the last. No toiletries or bathrobes in stateroom unless requested; food in dining room uninspiring, especially desserts which were bland, bore no resemblance to menu description and indeed were inedible.
Twice in one evening my steak had to be sent back as ...
AUGUST 2017, my Girlfriend and I went on the Vision of the Seas (Baltic Cruise) leaving from Copenhagen.
When we first boarded the ship we found it was very very old and dated, and needs serious renovation!
Embarkation was okay.
The food was not great, compared to other ships we've been on
There was No entertainment whatsoever, and when i tried talking to guest services they were ...
We were looking for a cruise that went to St. Petersburg and we found it in Royal Caribbean. We loved the excursion on the bullet train to Moscow. Couldn't see passing up a trip there since we were that close. Tallinn, Estonia's Old Town was an awesome place to visit. Loved going to a farm in Finland and watch the dogs herd sheep and see their outstanding horses.
Mrs. Lisa prepared muffins, ...
Overall: This was our 21st cruise on Royal Caribbean. Vision of The Seas is still a great ship although some of the areas are starting to show their age; but overall a fantastic Baltic Cruise. Had a Junior Suite on 8th Deck (back of ship) and top floor for cabins which made for great views especially when sailing into Stockholm Sweden. Our room was very nice with large balcony and the air-con ...
