My sister and I (23 & 19) sailed on the Quantum leaving from Cape Liberty, NJ on March 13th and had a great time. We were nervous after reading all of the negative reviews but we found NONE of the issues stated by other reviewers. Embarkation was the easiest process we have ever experienced (being on 10 cruises) we were on the ship within 15 minutes of arrival at the port. Once we boarded the ship ...
This review is of course going to all be based on the fact that I got sick but its a combination of a lot during this cruise that also helped make it a miserable vacation. This ship is all media hyped. The dynamic dining is atrocious and only causes a whole lot of confusion and disorganization. A quick example would be Chops grill. This is a restaurant where you have to pay to dine there. My ...
Having suite privileges on and ship is a plus but on this ship it's a huge advantage. No reservations for shows ever needed and a concierge to get me dining reservations at prime times. Those two issues most people not in suites were complaining about.
We really had a great time. Staff was real good. Our cabin steward, Marcia was great! Most restaurants were very good. Wonderland was a lot of fun ...
The Quantum is a beautiful ship and the folks staffing it are generally helpful and friendly.
The Dynamic dining is not. Think regimented dining. Cannot get times between 5:30 and 9:30 unless you take extraordinary measures. Website to book dining and events is not functional and changes nearly impossible as everything is booked up in advance . Food is 0K to Good once you get there depending ...
The Quantum has a lot of problems!!!
The restaurant dining is a real mess, staff are not friendly or helpful!!
Elevators had a real problem with a lot of them out of service.
Windjammer buffet is poorly designed and over crowded.
Fitness center was nice but half of the treadmills were not working!!
Solariums were beautiful, Balcony room was great!!
Cruise was NOT a WOW!!! ...
Quantum has something for everyone - you just have to plan a little for it. If you do, you will have a fantastic time. Just look out for grouchy cruisers, they were everywhere...
RCCL has taken this cruise ship many steps beyond, all at one time. Because of the many changes at one time, there are growing pains in processes and in crew knowledge. Just go with that expectation and be prepared ...
This was our first cruise. We has an awesome time! Ate at each of the complimentary restaurants and food was great. Service was outstanding. Excursions well worth doing. The shows were top-notch and we never had trouble getting a aeat. Drinks were expensive so the package is worth the money. There were some technology issues and thE elevators could have worked better. All in all the ...
This review is for the Quantum of the Seas ship. My family of four sailed from Feb 20th-March 1st. I am a seasoned cruiser and have sailed many different times on Royal Caribbean, as well as a number of other lines (crystal, ncl, princess, carnival, holland, and wind song). To be honest I have cruised so much on royal I am a diamond member.
This vacation was terrible, and if anyone has children ...
So disgusted with RCCL! We are Emerald cruisers and were so disappointed with Quantum of the Seas. Getting on the ship at Bayonne which used to be easy was horrible. You have to park far away now and there was no handicapped parking! Then you have to make a reservation to check in to expedite things . However that was a joke. He had reservations to check in for 11:15-11:45. We got to port at 10;30 ...
Returned today after an amazing 11 day Royal Carribean Quantum of the Seas trip with a group of 12 passengers. Scroll to the end of this post, for a synopsis if you cant handle verbose postings like me. Firstly, let me warn that this will be a new experience for many. As the instructions indicate, you MUST make your reservations in advance for the restaurants or you will be one unhappy camper. (I ...
