Otherwise, great trip. Second night was formal night, yet the main dining room menu was less than formal in choices. We enjoyed the food overall - and the steakhouse was amazing. We also booked and rave about the Chef's Table Dinner. WOW. And, because we are return guests, we attended the Return Guest Reception on the last evening - appies and drinks on the house.
Stay away from the Casino - you will only lose your cash. The spa is great, but they will push you to buy and buy. If you like wine, consider the wine package to save some money. Great choices, three tiers of wine packages to consider.
Great ship, dining room decor is gaudy and strange, but otherwise, the ship is pretty. Great ports - St. Maarten, St. Lucia and St. Kitts. St. Lucia port is not recommended to walk around in, but the other two are great. St. Maarten has a great beach just 5 minutes walk away (and a great restaurant halfway down the boardwalk with a small live band outside - the food is amazing)....if you want to avoid an excursion cost. St. Kitts port is great for shopping. The catamaran cruise in St. Kitts was amazing and fun. Although we found that for the cost, the snacks onboard could have been more appetizing than stale chips and pretzels. St. Lucia boat cruise to Pitons was good, but again, a tray of thin tuna sandwich wedges for over 100 people on board is rather skimpy. They sure are making a profit when the snacks are so cheap.
The back (aft) deck is for adults only, yet, parents with small children still make an effort to take over this pool area. Not sure why, as they have two other pool areas to use. That is my biggest pet peeve on this trip. Parents with small kids with floaties and diapers - please stay away from the adult pool!
It was our Christmas and the ship decorated nicely. Nice menu on Christmas Day - the turkey was amazing.
Our Ocean Suite was perfect - nice and spacious. Our Steward was always around and decorated our room each day.
All and all, we would recommend this ship. Although we prefer Princess (more adults and higher quality food and decor), we still enjoyed the fun ship and all it had to offer.
Overall, nice room....ocean suite.
