This was my second time sailing on the Carnival Fascination. The staff even remembered me and welcomed me back to the ship! This was our first time sailing with my son who is almost 8 years old. In addition to my son, we brought his best friend (7 years old) along with us for the 5 night cruise.

The only issues we had in getting on the ship were some concerns over my passport. I have been recently married and my passport is still in my maiden name. I had along with me my ID that showed my married name and my marriage certificate but the woman that checked us in gave us a hard time about it. What was almost humorous though is that they didn't even question the fact that we had brought someone else's child along with us. They only wanted to see his birth certificate and not any of the additional paper work.

As always the food was wonderful. I have always enjoyed the selection of food on the Carnival ships. We took advantage of the Room Service several times. The movie selection was good. The ships in room TVs were playing Tangled, The Tooth Fairy, Tron, Harry Potter Deathly Hallows among others. The water slides were a HUGE hit with both children. Read more
