So, right off the bat, I’m gonna say we judge cruises by the value we perceive i.e. for the money we paid.

So for us, for what we paid, we enjoyed this cruise and felt it was a positive one. We needed a break and this fitted with the time we were available to travel. We booked late and got a great deal. If we’d paid full price, we might not have considered it in such a positive light.

We’ve been to the Baltics before a couple of times and it’s still a great set of destinations where the local people are lovely. What I will say is that cruise lines should look for alternative ports on this route. Because they don’t go to Russia anymore (for obvious reasons), they’re adding days to existing ports and going slowly to some to extend the days at sea whereas we’d like to see new stops like maybe Poland, Latvia & Lithuania.
