Standards have dropped significantly since our last cruise with P & O.

We have cruised many times, and were really looking forward to our first canaries cruise. We treated ourselves to a suite but didn’t select our cabin number at the time of booking. On arrival we were disappointed that our so called partially

covered balcony was fully covered from above by the swimming pool deck and received no sun for the full 2 weeks. We were woken at 7.15 each morning by people pulling out sun beds and furniture around the pool. If you want peace and quiet don’t pick a suite on deck 14 midship R404. The suite itself was large and had a great sized bathroom. The butler service was a complete waste of time. The Butler has over 20 cabins to service so his time is limited. We are not demanding only wanting a bucket of ice and slices of lemon but on a number off days didn’t get this. Room service is free in a suite which was really the only benefit we got and having breakfast in the private suite dining room. It was lovely to have lunch delivered to your room rather than have to fight for space in the small buffet area if the main restaurants were closed. The lunch restaurants are only open from 12 noon to 1.30pm. Service was very rushed.

Cabin Review

First time in a suite. Good size and big bathroom. Balcony furniture old and tatty. Balcony covered by overhang of swimming pool so not sun at all. Very noisy. Lots of juddering when ship was sailing. You can’t turn air conditioning off which was annoying.
