This was a cruise we finally got to take after first making reservations in 2019. I do not usually review cruises we have been on but as the end of cruise evaluation provided by RC did not allow me to discuss some of my concerns I thought I would give it a try.
First the positives: It is a beautiful ship and the staff we interacted with were all great. Our cabin attendant, Jackie, was first class one of the best on over 20 cruises. Also can not say enough good things about our wait staff for early seating in the main dining room. We also had excellent service from the staff in customer services. Everyone we met and/or interacted with were friendly and professional.
My concerns are small but are concerns......Getting on the ship was a mess. It might be because it was the first sailing out of Sydney in two years but we found it very disorganized. We had a 1:00 boarding time (first available ) and it was a challenge. People were still leaving the ship from the previous cruise and there was no set guidelines for the boarding process. Could not really tell where the end of the line was and people were crashing the line up and down the line. The only good thing was that when they saw my wife walking with a cane they asked her if she would like a wheelchair which helped us greatly. Thank you to the nice man who asked. The other thing that surprised me was that they asked for a current negative covid self test which we did that morning. We had pictures of the test and the tests themselves, but no asked to see them, just took our word.
Had everything we needed, balcony seemed smaller than on other ships but my wife liked the chair and footstool better than the lounger.
