We've done 4 river and 1 ocean cruise on Viking, and the Expedition experience to Antarctica was exceptional. The Polaris was made to provide an outstanding expedition experience; 2 submarines, kayaks, Zodiacs for getting to remote places, and Special Operations Boats for a thrill ride!

Marc and his 20+ crew of expedition experts provided transport, information, and fun experiences as we made our way around the Antarctic Peninsula. We had 3 "landings" from the Zodiacs which involved loading from the Polaris and then disembarking on land with the help of the expedition staff. We also had 3 Zodiac "cruises" which involved driving in and around icebergs and watching wildlife.

The submarine took 6 of us plus a pilot to over 900 feet below the surface. The 1 hour event was professionally run by Niko our pilot.

Deluxe Nordic Balcony

The room was spacious with lots of storage. The window wall was a really unique feature. We put the window down numerous times and it really gives you the feeling of being outside. Plenty of USB sockets which included both "old" and "new" USB models. Bathroom has heated floors, and the drying closet came in very handy several times!
