Sail Date: Oct 2022
Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom

We sailed with the Wind Surf on Sicilian Splendors ( Oct.6, 2022) The name of the itinerary was incorrect on the form to write this review. We reserved this trip 2020, 2021, and finally we were able be on the Surf this October. Three years of waiting with anticipation and indeed it did not disappoint.

Everything about the Wind Surf that we love was out in full force: superb staff, beautiful ship that shinned, wonderful, healthy, diverse food, terrific ports, for us and our love of art, the ancients and food culture this was was the perfect itinerary.

Besides the wonderful art that we saw, the visiting the ancient sites and the food culture that we investigated what we really loved this time was the afternoon sail after we left Amalfi. We sat by the Compass Rose and looked out at the Amalfi Coast as we sailed by it and almost touching ( just kidding ) Capri until the sunset. We thought this sail is a tie with the sailing in the lagoon of Tahiti, it was that spectacular and beautiful. It helped that we had perfect sun and a very calm sea. That sail was well worth the three year wait.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom

We love the cabins near the elevator so we do not have to worry when we come into port about the water tight doors closing on us. Wind Surf has the best showers lots of hot water and great water pressure. Despite being near the elevator they are whisper quiet.

Port Reviews

Catania

Catania has one of Europes most exciting outdoor market, it has a spectacular plaza, Bellini, the opera composer is buried in the cathedral, great museum. A gritty and exciting city with the personal warmth of Sicily.
