We were going to be in florida any way so we booked this cruise for the end of our vacation. We are big buffett fans and love that type of music. After reading some of the reviews, i felt i needed to give my opinion of the cruise.

First of all, yes, it is an old ship, but they are constantly working on the interior to upgrade it into a newer look. You see workers all over the place replacing lighting and decor to improve the surroundings. Since we went in the middle of the week in sept., the passenger list was much less than normal, approx. Only 500-600 guests. We walked right on the ship and off without any problem/ that made it much easier to get seats anywhere on the ship. the staff was amazing! From our room steward to the bar staff and dinner service. We had some conversations with the staff and they all report that they are very happy working on this ship and also are very helpful answering our questions. The main show was absolutely wonderful with very talented actors. I loved how they included the people in the theatre. We heard only a few minutes of the piano man playing since we spend our time in the casino. It was kind of sad to see only a few people playing the slots, but we enjoyed winning and losing our money playing the table games. Excellent dealers and bar service too. $10-15/games. We ate both nights in the main dining room with good service. The food was average for a cruise, so i added a lobster tail for an extra $20 which was very good. Our room was fine with a round window to see out at the sea and with a dark shade for nighttime. Yes, our shower water did get high enough to wet the bathroom floor but so what! We cleaned it up with a towel. Maybe some people need not to sweat the small stuff. As for jimmy buffett music, we would of like to hear more but they did have videos playing to watch him in his younger days. We only left the ship to walk over to the "straw market" next to the ship to do some shopping. as for the price of this whole cruise. It was very well worth it to get away and relax from the outside world for a few days, especially if you are in the area anyway.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was fine and large enough for 3 days. Bring an extra adapter to plug your stuff into since there is only one plug outlet.
