We chose this cruise because we have travelled with SAGA before, know and trust the company and because we very much wanted to enjoy the experience of seeing Greenland again in a degree of comfort.

Boarding was smooth and efficient at Dover, although it took about an hour... but for 50 mins of that time we were in the luxury our chauffeur driven SUV. The welcome on board the Spirit of Discovery was friendly, efficient and we were in our cabin within minutes.

We'd chosen a standard cabin, but paid for a slightly higher grade... the only difference was the position in the ship. It was fine, better than we've had on other cruise lines for the same price; lots of storage, dressing gowns, slippers, fruit, nice toiletries, good quality towels, fridge, a very comfortable large bed, decent chairs inside and on the balcony, a brilliant WiFi connection ... and a nightly turn-down service with... "chocolate-on-the pillow."
