The Carnival Mardi Gras is a nice new ship. However instead of expanding the venues like the comedy club, the theater and the atrium areas they made them smaller and added a couple thousand more people. There are too many people on this ship. The dinner choices were good. The main restaurant for breakfast in the morning was slow and not very good. The three floors of shopping was ok. I think most things that are available for people to do on sea days are mostly money grabs. The up charge you for everything. The chefs table that we did was outstanding!!! However due to the crowds and the smaller venues I was not impressed. When you have to get to a comedy show or a theater show 1/2 in advance of the doors opening to just get a seat….Nope, never again. I just think that they could do better and not just look at the bottom line.
