This was supposed to be a beautiful destination wedding/family cruise. Thanks to Carnival Horizon, it was the most horrendous experience of our lives! From day one there were drunk, foul mouthed, noisy people running around the ship into the wee hours of the morning making it impossible to sleep. We were forced to get dressed and go directly to guest services to complain because no one would answer the phone. Nothing was ever done about the noise!

The refrigerator in the room wasn’t working and was never repaired or replaced. I constantly had problems with the room card that was never fixed properly. Spa packages that were purchased were never used up because employees decided to close early on many given days. Internet package was a joke! Didn’t receive messages promptly or sometimes not at all.The buffets/snack stops would also close, being forced to have to pay extra to eat! The only “food” available at lunch time was a burger and fries…PERIOD! We couldn’t sit by the pool to relax because there weren’t enough lounge chairs to accommodate the amount of passengers. Laundry areas were filthy and most equipment didn’t work! I was forced to go up 3 flights just to iron a shirt. They also decided to cut our boarding time in Curaçao from 8 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.! All of these complaints and many more were addressed with guest services.They showed absolutely no remorse and never offered anything for our inconveniences. Lastly, my bank currently has a fraud claim pending with Carnival Horizon for unauthorized use of my debit/credit card for charges that were paid in full before departure. As expected, the phone number to speak with someone about your travel experience is not working. Hmmm, how convenient! I wish that I could give this cruise ship a ZERO!!!! I’m so happy to be home and expect to be reimbursed in some way by Carnival Cruise Lines for such an appalling experience.

What should have been a beautiful vacation for myself and my family was completely ruined by Carnival Horizon.
