we picked this cruise because of the destinations, (although we have been to all except one before) have cruised with HAL before so knew what to expect. always thought that the entertainment on board HAL was very poor but this particular one was awful.

it consisted of the on board singers, dancers, piano players, bands doing what they normally do in their normal venues but on stage. one night we had the 6 (only) dancers dancing around the twin pianos. the piano players/singers were very good. probably didn't help that there was only 1100 passengers onboard but please what about a comedian or magician?

the best venue was the B B KINGS and ROLLING STONES rock band. always packed out and everyone was dancing, great atmosphere

Cabin Review

Our deal came with a restricted view cabin on deck 4. so looked on the deck plan and decided on cabin no. 4143 because it wasn't directly by a lifeboat but sort of in-between two.

when we boarded and got to our cabin we found out that this was the last passenger cabin before the crews cabins. there was a massive watertight door just by our cabin door. as crew were coming and going at all hours of the day and night it made a very loud bang. obviously we asked for a move and were given another cabin on deck 4.

there is nothing on any of the deck plans to tell you that beyond 4143 is crew cabins protected by a massive great door. may be the same on the PORT side as well. very naughty on the part of HAL not to mention this on any deck plan. have to say however guest services were brilliant.

would have been very unhappy if we were unable to move if the ship was full. the second cabin l would give 5 stars to
