My husband and I were previously booked on a 12-night Southern Caribbean cruise sailing 3/6/21 on the Enchantment. Well we all no what the pandemic has done to the cruising industry these past two years. Our sailing was cancelled by RCCL. Using our FCC, we rebooked for the same itinerary sailing 3/5/22 on the Enchantment. This trip was so long awaited and absolutely was well worth that wait!

The embarkation was, as it usually is, a bit hectic and chaotic. Even though you have assigned check-in times, there are still many people checking in at that same time. Lines are long, but do go fast. Once getting through security and then meeting an RCCL rep who checked our boarding passes, passports and asked a few health related questions. Then you go through the terminal doors and you're on the gangplank walking up and up, and up, to Deck 4. I wondered why they did not let my husband, in his wheelchair and me pushing a manual wheelchair loaded with luggage, into the ship at the Deck 1 entrance. ?? They have done that in the past. Nonetheless, we made it up to Deck 4 and onto the ship. From there, you can do whatever you like (except go directly to your cabin). You can have lunch in the WIndjammer, or the Solarium, or just walk around and get to know where everything is. At 2 p.m. you are given the "OK" to go to your cabin.

The Muster Drill is done much differently now. You pretty much go through the drill on the Royal Caribbean app and then you still go to your drill station but just long enough to get approved that you have followed the instructions, and that's it.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Spacious Accessible Balcony. It exceeded our expectations. Plenty of room for a disabled passenger using a large power wheelchair to get around and access every area, including the bathroom.

Embarkation is run very smoothly. Even though there are designated check-in times, and there are several people scheduled for that same time, everything from security to check-in is run quickly and efficiently.
