we chose Iona because she's so new . we had done Ventura twice and Britannia twice so we were looking forward to Iona. We were not initially disappointed as she is so big and beautiful and just as expected.

We had large corner balcony. We knew we were under the Epicurean however didn't realise it was the Galley. The main banging and clattering was until 11.30pm ish however the second night / morning was 4.00am which we later discovered was probably the night porter sorting someone's request. We were moved later that day to cabin 9236 a lower corner balcony which was ok for 3 days then the flushing of toilets started , not just our neighbours , but what seemed the whole surrounding cabins passing our cabin within the ceiling and floor. I couldn't be bothered to move again so bought some earplugs from the shop for £4 which blocked a fraction of the noise though I shouldn't have to when wanting a peaceful getaway. This was our 22nd cruise and it has never been that bad. One good point is that there are no drawers so the passengers who love to slam drawers can't.

Ignacio Lopez , the 4Tunes and the Limelight Band were great entertainment. The quizzes in Brodies were good and the piano playing around the ship was excellent.
