We have cruised over a half dozen times before, but lately mostly out Ft Lauderdale. I have to say that we were surprised at the lack of security in port of Miami. Nobody checks why you're going into port and you park across from where the ship is in an open parking area.

We checked in at around 11:00am and had lunch on the ship. Had to wait along with everyone else that was sitting waiting for the cabin to be ready at 1:30pm. The ship's description says that it has been refurbished, but it looked pretty runned down. The carpet in the stairs no longer have color to them and they looked dirty. Our stateroom must have had 2 inches of dust under the tv, on the shelves and on the light fixtures. The shower was dirty and at the end of the track they had put some type of patch that looked terrible. The bathroom is very outdated.

The balcony was being painted, when they finished it was full of spots of paint on the floor and chairs and the surrounding walls were rusted. Through certain areas of the ship you could smell raw sewage and when the a/c was not running in the hallways it always smelled bad.
