Sail Date: Dec 2019
Cabin: Deluxe Stateroom with Balcony and Bath/Shower

My wife and I went on the Arcadia Christmas cruise to Norway and Denmark on 19th December 2019. We have not been on this ship before but have been on other P&O ships. I do not know how this ship gets bad reviews, mind you looking at some of the passengers I don't think they would enjoy anything.

The ship was clean and tidy and well decorated for Christmas. Yes there are a few paint chips and scuff marks but how does anything like that spoil a cruise. There were new carpets in the lobby and gangways, we could not fault the ship.

The food was excellent. We only used the buffet for breakfast and occasional lunch which again we could not fault for quality and choice. We were seated at the same table in the Meridian restaurant with two other great couples. There was a wide choice of food. One evening we went to the Sindhu and had a great meal and the service was very good. We also went to the Ocean Grill one evening and were both disappointed by the food and the service. The food was not very nice and the service was rushed. If this is supposed to be a menu that Marco Pierre White designed then we think he should go back on the ship and check it out.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom with Balcony and Bath/Shower

Our cabin was A15 on Australia deck. The cabin has a balcony but compared to other P&O ships the actual cabin is quite small. Water was allways hot when needed. The cabin was kept immaculate by our cabin steward Beverley who did a great job nothing was too much for her.
