Pacific Explorer Cruise Review by Alan McKenzie
- Sail Date: October 2019
- Destination: South Pacific
It did not disappoint in this regard,Rhonda Griffiths the lecturer was outstanding, add to this the rest of the entertainment put on by P&O and other than Music Cruises we have done, well done P&O.
Boarding was late due to Medical emergencies which could not be helped but otherwise very smooth as was also our departure from the ship.
This was the fifth Cruise we have undertaken across P&O.Princess and Royal Caribbean and it's important to compere not only ships but also the cost and reasons for sailing.
The service was outstanding wherever we went and we both commented that it would have to have been the FRIENDLIEST cruise we have taken from both staff and fellow passengers.
Dining met all of our expectations with only the exception of Dragon Lady which just wasn't to our taste and in the pantry cooked breakfasts had a tendency to be cold by the time you were seated, however we never experianced any seating issues when dining.
The Marquee Theatre required seating 30 minutes prior to Shows to obtain preferred seating areas which we easily overcame, however Black Circus provided a challenge for popular shows.
We booked Shore Tours through P&O at all destinations and were very pleased with all that we undertook, the only rushed one was at Norfolk Island, the Convict Settlement Tour.
