Norwegian Sun Cruise Review by bmhoff
- Sail Date: October 2019
- Destination: Bahamas
- Cabin Type: Family Balcony
The food and service was great in the main dining room and 2 specialty restaurants we tried, Le Bistro and Cagneys. The buffet was average for a buffet anywhere. It had plenty of choices and the lines were never too long. We ate most of our breakfasts and lunches in the main dining room, because we preferred the level of service and menu choices offered at that location. We had the drink package and most of the drinks were good. The service at the bars was average. It was hard to get the attention of a few bartenders even when no other customers were waiting.
The nightly entertainment was varied, with something for everyone. We went to the shows in the Stardust Lounge every night and found them to be entertaining and well produced. The casino was extremely smokey and we did not spend any time there for that reason.
The only disappointment was that our port call to Great Stirrup Cay was cancelled. After we arrived, they announced this as the seas were too rough to take passengers off the ship onto the tenders. We ended up with 2 days at sea, which was too many for a 5 day cruise. On "at sea" days the pool area is way too crowded to enjoy. But I suppose it is like that on any ship.
Overall, we got a great last minute deal on this trip and will definitely cruise on Norwegian again!

Key WestIt was crowded in Key West. We walked around on our own and then visited the Mel Fischer museum which was very interesting. Would have like more time there.View All 1,802 Key West Cruise Port Reviews
