This was a lovely 3 week cruise thru the carribean down to the Amazon river, but,. Viking needs to make some improvements especially on the Amazon part. Several of their included tours were just plain boring. The overnight in Manhaus was a waste of time.....the city is not safe enough to be out at night. Several ports were tendered and in other Carribean islands the port used was not the most desirable location. Overall the ship was just beautiful. Well designed, rarely were there any areas that you felt crowded. Public areas were made into "living room" like areas, making it easy for quiet conversation. Food was very good all over the ship.Their wine/drink needs to be improved. They ran out of all Cabernet!!! Not a bottle to be found ! They also ran out of ginger ale early in the cruise! Was told they can not buy anything local???? What???? Aren't Cabernet Sauvignon and ginger ale basics? The buffet was always fresh and usually had the same food as the main restaurant. Many nights the buffet include d a special theme food station. Eating outside most evenings was delightful!
Nice cabin,. Similar to other ship veranda cabins, but, bathroom was larger and nicer than other cruise line balcony cabins. Deluxe verandah cabins had coffee/tea maker, however, there are hardly any drawers!
