The cruise was an overall disappointing experience. I have been on two cruises on the MSC Sinfonia and that was by far a much better ship and cruise experience as compared to the MSC Musica. Firstly the ship looked rather old and rundown. The rooms looked good but the not at all stable. The roof and doors creeked whilst in motion and made unusual noises disturbing the sleep we tried to get. The overall look and feel of the ship was bad as it looked like it was unkempt. Further after day two on the cruise there was this horrid smell coming up deck four and deck five. By the time we were disembarking the smell had started to reach deck 6. The smell was horrendous and almost vile. This prevented us from going to those decks. Further the restaurant service left much to be desired. We were served dinner by a waiter called Syafuidan from Indonesia. His temperament and level of service was downright poor. He was hardly courteous and had a major problem serving us. He was not pleasant and he had a major issue serving us if we required seconds of any item on the menu. He was so rude to the point that he rolled his eyes when we requested service. He literally avoided our tables. The one night we waited over an hour to get our main course. When we reported it to his manager the response was not better. On our final night there this waiter in not so many words said he was glad to see us go, The manager went to the point to remark that if we were staying on for the 11 night cruise he will disappear. We were 7 people at our table and we in no way did anything to receive this kind of service. This started on night one. If the waiter is unhappy to do this kind of work then he should not be the face of the restaurant serving the patrons of the cruise, We came expecting a great time but we were sadly disappointed and will not consider cruising again with MSC.

Further the embarkment process was rather long and tedious. We stood in the queue for almost two hours just to check in before standing in another queue for passport control. There must be a better way to expedite this process

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

The cabin was well kept and cleaned and serviced well. Just the ceilings were very creaky and noisy but this was across the ship. Very unstable ship.
