The ship was fairly nice. The room was quite livable. Our room Steward was pretty good. He was quite friendly & his towel-animal expertise was top notch.
The drink prices were outrageous. I refuse to pay over $5 for a freaking Bud so I was not going to touch a beer. Most drinks ran over $10 each with tip. The drink of the day was cheaper ($7-$8) but it was always some sickeningly sweet concoction that I could only stomach 2 of max. The margaritas were horrendous but I forced myself to drink the lone one that I ordered since it cost so much.
The food was not good at all. The buffet hounds seemed happy that they could shovel in all they wanted 24/7 so I do not think the majority of cruisers cared what they were eating (I think they would have eaten a fried turd if you put it in front of them). We only ate one night in the sit down restaurant because the food was inedible. I ordered lobster tail with grilled shrimp & when I got my food it was so rubbery I could barely chew it. I would say we spent 90% of our time eating chicken fingers & french fries off the buffet as they are hard to ruin. They had a Mexican day with nachos... WOW!! I have never in my life had nachos that bad. They put out some sort of fried chip that had no flavor, a meat concoction that I can't even describe, & a cheese sauce that had the consistency & flavor of yellow water. Needless to say after Mexican day I opted out of Chinese food day. Burgers were edible but by no means outstanding in any way. The desserts in the buffet area were plentiful & gorgeous but they were awful & had either tasted like plain sugar or had no flavor at all. I was constantly amazed how something so pretty can taste like nothing??!! The soft serve ice cream was tasty.
